Applying to KSC
Admission Requirements
Application Requirements
Graduate Study in Education
Due to an increased interest in Keene State College,
we have reached full capacity for all students applying as first-year students for the Fall 2008 semester.
All first-year applications received will be processed for the Spring 2009 semester.
Admission Requirements
We expect all applicants to Keene State College to be enrolled in a strong academic program. Simply completing the
minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the College. Applicants must maintain a challenging course load
during their senior year. Essays, recommendations, participation in extracurricular activities, and other information such
as test scores are also considered. Most of all, Keene State wants students who are ready to learn.
First-year applicants must submit the following information:
-
Completed application with fee
-
Official high school transcript including first marking period grades for senior year.
-
SAT or ACT scores
-
Essay
-

-
Social Studies – 2 units
-

Grade-Point Average
The grade-point average used for admissions purposes is based on college preparatory, honors, and advanced
placement courses. Grade-point average is calculated after the first marking period of senior year.
Home-Schooled Students
Academic preparation for home-schooled students must include at least the 14 academic courses required of all
students. SAT scores are required of all home-schooled students.
