Accreditation

Keene State College prepares competent, reflective educators. Each educator preparation program’s curriculum is designed to meet both national and state standards and is grounded in the KSC Teacher Education Conceptual Framework.

National Accreditation

Keene State College is nationally accredited through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and has continuously maintained this status since 1954.

State Accreditation

In 2011 the New Hampshire State Board of Education once again granted 5 year full approval to all our educator preparation programs, recognizing the College’s quality programs which ensure that certification candidates meet the New Hampshire educator standards.

Conceptual Framework

KSC Teacher Education Conceptual Framework states that we prepare teacher candidates who:

  1. Explore the dynamic nature of the teaching and learning process
  2. Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors that meet high expectations and standards
  3. Understand the world from multiple perspectives
  4. Contribute to a just and equitable world.
