Cultivating the leadership skills that will transfer into life after Keene State is a very important facet of being involved in student organizations and activities. The Student Center offers many different ways to become involved and gain valuable leadership experience.
Keene State College students holding leadership roles and taking part in leadership activities prepare for life after graduation by:
- practicing good communication skills
- taking risks and try new things
- working interdependently and collaboratively
- overcoming obstacles
- sharing common experiences
- being exposed to values and ideals different from one's own
- gaining useful knowledge for career goals and lifelong learning
- expecting high performance from oneself and others
Always keep in mind that your organization can sponsor a program or event that
may be a great leadership opportunity for all students. The Student Center is able
to help organizations put together these types of events as needed.
