Professional Activities

Dr. Barbara Ware, Modern Languages and Cultures, attended the XIX Congreso Internacional de Literatura y Estudios Hispánicos in Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 8-11. The panel on which she participated was “Posdictadura, feminismo, y voces de exilio en las letras argentinas actuales.” Her paper was entitled “Gender and Memory in Argentine Feminist Narrative.” Her presentation focused on contemporary interpretations of gender roles in Jewish families, specifically mother/daughter interaction and the significance of memory. Her trip was supported by a Faculty Enrichment Grant.
