From Academic and Career Advising:
Academic & Career Advising invites you to attend KSC’s first Internship Showcase and Reception. The internship experience is invaluable to a student’s education, and there are a range of opportunities available to KSC students. Please encourage your students to attend. It is never too early to think about internships that will help them explore their interests while developing skills and knowledge.
Showcase Schedule:
5-5:50 p.m. Internship Panel in Putnam Science Center 101
- The panel will consist of 2 students, 2 faculty members and an employer from Electronic Imaging Materials
- Learn how to find internships, what employers look for from interns, how to make the most of an internship
6-7 p.m. Poster Presentations and Reception, Putnam Science Center Lobby
- 12-15 students will present posters on their internship experience
- Academic majors that will be represented include Management, Film, Psychology, Sustainable Product Design, Safety, Environmental Studies, and Communication
- Internship sites will highlight local employers: The Colonial, Whelen Engineering, The Harris Center, Keene Housing, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, “Stay, Work, Play”,and the KSC Advancement Office. Other employers include: The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Sundance Film Festival, the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Savage Arms, and the US Air Force.
- Representatives from the KSC Alumni Office, Global Education Office, and Academic and Career Advising will also be available to answer questions and provide resources
