Monadnock United Way Kicks Off Campus Campaign

From the Monadnock United Way Campus Campaign Committee:

October is coming! Again this year, during the month of October only, Keene State College will solicit campus donations for the Monadnock United Way which supports a multitude of essential service agencies throughout the region. The KSC-MUW Campaign will be working hard to reach $30,000 in 30 days with a 30% participation rate. We can do it – together !

The College’s success in this community effort speaks volumes to the wider community and demonstrates to our students our commitment to community, giving, and serving the greater good. The annual appeal will arrive in campus mailboxes during the first week in October. If you’ve never given, please consider pledging this year; and, if you have given before, please consider increasing your pledge a bit. Please know that every single dollar helps. And remember, the easiest-peasiest way to donate is through payroll deduction. We hope you will support the United Way in strengthening communities. Strong communities foster strong families and individuals.

And just for the fun of it, and since last year’s raffle was such a big hit, we are featuring it once again. All prizes are donated and all proceeds from raffle ticket sales go to Monadnock United Way. We will set up two times in the atrium of the Student Center during the month of October on different days of the week so that all students, staff, and faculty have an opportunity to take chances on donated art, chocolate cakes, coffee, tea, antique and handmade items, as well as gift certificates for local goods and services. Did we mention chocolate cakes? For some, the cakes donated by Sodexo are the grandest of prizes. Others may take choose to take more chances on winning the actual Grand Prize, an iPad Air! Weekly campaign emails will announce the dates and times for the raffle – and yes, tickets will again be assigned to anyone pledging a minimum of $52 ($1 per week) to United Way AND additional tickets will be available for sale, too. We look forward to seeing you in the Student Center to peruse the long tables of wonderful prizes. So, stay tuned – more information to come via Campus News and weekly campaign email updates!

Thanks for all you do in support of our community at Keene State College and the greater community - we really do LIVE UNITED.
