Class and Rank Workshop Series Kicks Off Nov. 5

From Karen Cangialosi, Biology and Campus Commission for Diversity and Multiculturalism:

The PAT Council, the OS Council, Campus Commission on Diversity and Multiculturalism, Office of Diversity and Multiculturalism, KSCEA, and KSCAA present:

Class and Rank Workshop Series
Rhonda Soto and Caridad Martinez, Facilitators

These trainings and workshops offer you the opportunity to learn about the impact of class and rank on our individual lives, our society, and the Keene State College community. The workshops will also support organizing efforts. We will address class issues that undermine our ability to serve our constituents and fulfill our mission. Each training culminates with opportunities to identify resources and brainstorm strategies for change in our specific context.

Last year, Rhonda and Caridad offered several introductory workshops to this deep and complex topic. This year, they return to Keene State to offer another introductory workshop, followed by four focused sessions that will allow us to delve more deeply into this topic, and to “bring it home” to Keene State.

Join us for our “Kick-Off” Luncheon to learn more about this year’s programming

Friday, November 5, noon-1:30, Centennial Hall, Alumni Center

This luncheon will be followed by one additional “introductory” workshop from 1:30-4 (identical to last year’s) for those who didn’t get a chance to attend those earlier sessions, or who want a “refresher.”

Mark your calendar for these upcoming focused sessions for the Fall Semester:

Friday, December 10, 9 a.m.-noon, Student Center Atrium
Friday, December 10, 2 – 5 p.m., Madison Street Lounge – REPEAT SESSION
