Fall 2010 Experiential Education Practices Survey Results Available

From Becca Hickam, CELT:

The Experiential Education Practices Survey was conducted at Keene State College in the fall of 2010 to assess the participation of college faculty in high impact practices. Definitions were used to ascertain response rate by looking at how many faculty felt that they used experiential pedagogy as a broad concept, then how many responded when that was broken out into four different areas and their subsequent categories. The survey was organized in 6 sections, one requesting demographic information, four focusing on Keene State College’s identified areas of experiential education: Engaged Community-Based Learning; Experiential Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor; Experiential Professional Learning; and Campus-Based Experiential Learning, and the last asking about ways CELT can assist and support faculty interested in experiential education. The survey was delivered via Google Forms, and faculty were solicited via e-mail on three separate occasions (from August 25, 2010 to September 15, 2010) by both VPAA/Provost Mel Netzhammer and the Coordinator of Experiential Education, Becca Hickam.
