Tech Tip of the Week: Thinking Equals Security

October is IT Security Awareness Month!

Think before you:

• Open any attachment
• Open an e-mail from someone you don’t know
• Click on any link in an e-mail, IM, or blog
• Install software from the web
• Share your password…..DON’T DO IT !!!!
• Allow someone else to use your computer
• Use an unsecure wireless network
• Offer any personal information over the web
• Use Facebook or MySpace
• Use your name/pet’s name as a password. (Create a STRONG password and change it frequently!)
• Open your computer to file sharing
