Jennifer Ferrell (Student Center) recently had an article published in the September issue of Programming national campus activities magazine. The article is titled “Welcome to Campus! We’re Glad You’re Here” and explores and offers best practices and legal obligations for hosting performers, speakers and other talent on a college campus. The request for this article came out of a highly attended educational session Jen presented with student Deanna Garceau (’11) last November at the National Association for Campus Activities Northeast Regional Conference.

Director of Campus Safety Amanda Warman was acknowledged in the preface of _Violence and Security on Campus: From Preschool to College _by James Alan Fox and Harvey Burstein (Praeger Publishing, 2010). Warman contributed to and edited the chapters on college and university safety and security.
