Tech Tip of the Week: Media Equipment Needs

From the IT Group:

As a new academic year approaches, the need for media equipment is in high demand. Ideally, if you use technology in the classroom, you are in one of the many Media Enhanced Classrooms (MEC). There are over 90 media enhanced classrooms on campus that provide overhead projectors, network jacks, a ceiling mounted projector, pull-down screen, DVD/VHS player, amplifier, speakers, CATV, podium with laptop connection and/or installed PC.
However, if you are not in a MEC, there are media equipment closets located in the Arts Center, Butterfield Hall, Huntress Hall, Joslin Hall, Media Arts Center, Morrison Hall, Parker Hall and Rhodes Hall. You may find what you need right there and sign it out yourself. Simply open “Media Equipment Closet Schedules” located in Outlook Public Folders, click on the location and equipment you need and reserve it on the calendar. Once you’ve reserved it, you can take it out when you need it and return it when you’re done.
Don’t forget: Return the equipment to the closet so it will be there for the next person who needs it! If you need a key to the closet, please stop by the HelpDesk and we’ll be glad to help you with that.
Lastly, the HelpDesk also has media equipment available for you. You can reserve the equipment you need and return it when you are done.
Feel free to contact the HelpDesk at 358-2532, e-mail helpdesk@keene.edu or stop by our office on the 2nd floor of Elliot Hall.
