Kantor exhibits "Space Invader"

Residents of Keene, visitors, Keene State College students, and families attending graduation at KSC will have the opportunity to see a newly created digital video artwork in downtown Keene. This exhibition is part of a supportive partnership between the Colonial Theatre and the Keene State College Art Department.

KSC Art Department visiting adjunct instructor, Barna Kantor will be exhibiting his work, “Space Invader,” in the windows of the Colonial Corner, the store front next to the Colonial Theatre on Main Street in Keene from Saturday, May 8 until Wednesday, May 12. From 7:30 until 11.p.m. each evening of the exhibition, the projection/exhibition will be played on a loop.

Kantor’s video works are developed based on his interest in experimental media, virtual reality, on line gaming strategies, and the social functioning of digital technologies. His latest works address various time scales inside images through color separations in video installations and time-scales inside other time-based objects.
