Advancement Division Restructuring News

From Maryann Lindberg, Advancement:

The Division of Advancement is pleased to announce some new staffing changes, effective January 1, 2010. These changes are part of the Division-wide restructuring we have been working on to enable us to more effectively help the College meet its institutional goals.

First, two of our departments are re-merging to form a new, more integrated department. The departments of Online Communications and College & Media Relations have now merged to become the Marketing & Communications Department, under the able guidance of Kim Accorsi, former director of Online Communications. Susan Peery, who has done a wonderful job of heading up the College & Media Relations department over the past few years, is happy to be moving back full-time into the editorial role she loves. Robin Dutcher will continue as the campus spokesperson.

I would like to thank both Kim and Susan for their work in determining the best way to coordinate all of our communications and marketing efforts, as well as everyone in the Marketing & Communications Department for their patience as we take on these new challenges. This is an exciting time!

Second, I am pleased to announce that the Advancement Services area is now under the direction of Michelle Fuller. Beth Martin is moving up into a broader and more technical area within the division, taking advantage of our newly-merged database and its capabilities. Again, I want to thank both Michelle and Beth for their hard work in realigning these important functions.

All of us in the Division of Advancement thank you for partnering with us as we promote this great institution. We look to a fruitful New Year!
