Congratulations to Kirsti Sandy (English)and Scott Herstad,proud parents of a new daughter, Betty Rose. Betty Rose is a local celebrity (you can read about her in the _Brattleboro Reformer_), as she was the first baby born at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in 2010!
We are sad to report several Keene State community losses:
Brent Elwell, a recognizable fixture at many KSC athletic events and from various appointments on campus, passed away on January 5. His positions on campus varied from working events in athletics to working in the bookstore to his earliest post helping in the mailroom 15 years ago.
Elizabeth R. Shesler, 92, mother of Jeanne Hearn, assistant director, Aspire Program, passed away on December 18, 2009.
Dorothy J. King, 88, mother of Beverly King, assistant professor of Physical Education and assistant dean for Professional and Graduate Studies, passed away on January 7, 2010.
