KSC Offers Sympathy to Families in Newtown, CT After Elementary School Shooting

Interim President of Keene State College, Jay Kahn, offered the following statement in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut:

“On behalf of the entire Keene State College community we wish to offer our heartfelt sympathy and support to the community in Newtown and surrounding areas; we are all neighbors. We are deeply saddened by this tragedy. In the coming days and months we hope the families that are experiencing loss will find peace and healing through support from loved ones.”

The Keene State College community has counseling support available for any students who have been affected. For support please contact the Keene State College Counseling Center Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Elliot Hall or call 603-358-2437. Twenty-four hour crisis support is available by calling 603-358-2436.
