Keene State Saddened by Loss of Student

Keene State College officials are saddened to inform the community of the passing of Keene State student Jacob Messersmith. Jacob, a Senior from Alexandria, New Hampshire majoring in Theater Arts, was found deceased on or near Mount Monadnock on February 21. The College will be reaching out to Jacob’s family and friends to ensure they are provided with support during this difficult time.

Counseling and support services are available to all members of the Keene State College community through the Counseling Center. Appointments with counselors are available on a drop-in basis between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students who need immediate support may contact the Counseling Center crisis line at 358-2436 or contact the Residence Director in their residence hall. In case of emergency, please contact Campus Safety at 358-2228 or 9-1-1.
