Course and Exhibition Show Behind-the-Scenes Aspects of Art Gallery
Keene, NH, April 26, 2017: The Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery at Keene State College will open a new long-term Conference Room exhibition developed by the students of the spring 2017 CALL course “Exposed: Behind the Scenes at the Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery” with a public reception on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 5-7pm at the Thorne.
The CALL students explored the artworks in the Thorne’s permanent collection and all of the steps involved in selecting, organizing, designing, promoting, and sharing information about an exhibition of posters that focus on some of the diverse highlights from that collection. Works from the collection selected to illustrate the exhibition’s newly-designed posters include paintings, sculpture, an artist-designed light fixture, and works on paper.
