The war on sex offenders and other bad policies
New Hampshire prison reformer Chris Dornin will explain America's massive campaign to shame and target anyone who has committed a sex offense. The clear intent of our policies toward this group is lifetime punishment, preferably in prison, or failing that, in neighborhoods that would hold a Keene style block party if they were murdered. One of these modern lepers was actually slain in Keene a year ago, perhaps the temporary center of New Hampshire vigilantism. Dornin was the first case manager at NH Prison, wandering the yards and cellblocks listening to people's troubles. A long-time prison volunteer, he founded Citizens for Criminal Justice Reform in 2011 to speak for thousands of people in prison, on parole, on probation and in limbo for life.
