Academic Excellence Conference

Putnam Science Center
Saturday, · -

The Academic Excellence Conference is held every spring and is KSC's premiere conference for student research and scholarship.

The Academic Excellence Conference has several goals. The College wants students who are producing excellent work to be given the opportunity to share that work with a broad audience.

Another goal is to help students prepare for submitting proposals for presentation at academic and professional conferences. In revising and resubmitting proposals students have the opportunity to engage in a common professional practice.

Finally, a major goal is for students to work very closely with their faculty or staff mentors. The process allows for students to hone their skills in crafting abstracts, revising them if needed, developing and fine-tuning their presentations, and actually presenting their work in an academic environment.

Recipients of undergraduate research grants are encouraged to present at the conference.
