Laboratory & Academic Space SafetyLaboratory & Academic Space SafetyThe College has no higher priority than ensuring all members of its campus community are safe as they engage in their academic activities in the various research labs, art studios, and machine shops on campus. To that end, members of the campus community are referred to the following safety procedures and training materials. If you have questions or concerns about the safety of personnel in any of our laboratories or academic spaces, please contact Sylvie Rice via email or 603-358-2879. If you have questions regarding this plan, please contact Sylvie Rice via email or 603-358-2879. Laboratory Safety TrainingThe Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) at Dartmouth College developed a laboratory safety website for faculty and student scientists within the State of New Hampshire and worldwide. EHS did this work in collaboration with BioRAFT. The lectures were created and/or compiled by EHS and meet the accepted standards and best practices for laboratory safety. These programs are intended to help scientists with their safety training needs. The lectures ensure that we all achieve this fundamental knowledge for practicing quality laboratory safety techniques. The training module is free and open to anyone, and all personnel working within KSC laboratories are encouraged to complete the training. *Those funded through NH-INBRE are required to take the training. Please visit the site. For Additional Information Contact Susan Ericson-West, Office of Sponsored Projects & Research (603-358-2046) |
