Who is Ben Franklin?

Explores identity and power in the British Empire and American Revolution through an examination of Benjamin Franklin's presentation of self in his autobiography. Additionally, through various biographies, we will consider Franklin as a "self-made man", embodiment of empire, literary artist, scientist, early patriarch, runaway servant, and slave owner. Prerequisite: Minimum of 24 credits in ISP, including ITW-101 and QL.
