Credential Integrity

To assure the academic integrity of separate, multiple credentials earned by students, each academic major must have 45% of its courses unique from any additional major earned.

Each minor must have 8 credits unique from any additional major/minor earned.     Students may not earn a minor that has the same title as their major. For example, a student who receives a history major may not receive a history minor. In these cases, the credential is redundant and subsumed under the major. It does not constitute a separate credential.

This policy does not apply to overlap with the Integrative Studies Program.    This policy will only apply to students admitted for fall 2023 or later.
