Secondary Methods I: Modern Languages

Course Summary: An introduction to secondary methods of instruction, including designing lesson plans, understanding middle and high school philosophies, and writing standards-based objectives or outcomes. Includes a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork. The student will be required to perform three formal observations during their fieldwork. Although the student is primarily observing the class, he/she can help by working with students, photocopying, and performing other classroom tasks allowed by the cooperating teacher.
