Doug Elkins Dance
The irreverent choreographer Doug Elkins brings to the Redfern the world premiere of Hapless Bizarre, an exuberant mash up of physical comedy, choreography, flirtation, and romance. Elkins pairs this new piece with his recent hit Mo(or)town/Redux, an homage to Jose Limon’s Moor’s Pavane using the music of Motown and the neo-Motown sound.
The New York Times calls Elkins' "Mo(or)town/Redux "one of the most compelling dance creations of this century."
