2025 Kristallnacht Remembrance: Who Will Remain

This event is hosted by the Cohen Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies in partnership with Congregation Ahavas Achim and the Monadnock Interfaith Project. “Who Will Remain” is a participant in the Arts Alive Fiscal Sponsorship Program.

Each year, the community in Keene comes together to remember Kristallnacht, a pogrom (wave of antisemitic violence) that erupted in Nazi Germany and its recently incorporated territories in 1938. We recall the destructive events that took place and the people affected by them, and we also stand together with local leaders as we recommit ourselves to being a community that stands against hatred and violence.

This event is free and open to the public, butadvanced registration is required. The hard deadline to register for in-person seating is October 30th. We will not be able to admit anyone into the event who has not pre-registered by this date.

Doors will open to registered attendees beginning at 5:30 pm. Photography and videography are prohibited at this event.

Please note that the Cohen Institute has implemented additional security protocols for our major events this year in light of national and global circumstances. There is a “no bags” policy in effect for this event, meaning that attendees cannot bring regular backpacks, purses, or other bags into the event. The only exceptions are totally clear bags (that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”) as are commonly used at sports stadiums and other venues. Additional security protocols may be implemented at the event as needed.
