Voices of Terezin: Brundibar

The Apple Hill String Quartet will perform works by Pavel Haas, a composer who spent nearly three years at Terezín before being deported and killed at Auschwitz. The quartet will be joined by percussionist Christopher Swist for a performance of Haas’s String Quartet No. 2, Op. 7 (From the Monkey Mountains). The quartet will also be joined by mezzo-soprano Jazimina MacNeil for a performance of Haas’s Four Songs on Chinese Poetry, written during the composer’s final year at Terezín.

Tickets for the 7:00 PM performance of the Apple Hill String Quartet and Brundibar are $25 and $30.
