We are looking to re-invent our Parent/Guardian Association here at Keene State College and want Parents/Guardians to be a part of the process. Come chat with the Director of Transitions & Parent/Family Programs to give insight and feedback in to how we can best support you and your family during your student’s time at KSC! This session is for Parent/Guardians only. Mabel Brown Room, Student Center

Canvas Painting ($25 per person)

12:00pm - 2:00pm or 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Students and their families will create an Owl themed painting. All supplies will be provided. Mountain View Room, Student Center

Hootie’s Super Fan Hangout ($10 per person - for the food tent)

11:00am - 1:00pm

Hootie fans get ready to have some fun! Prior to the start of our home athletic events hang out with Hootie the Owl, get a family caricature drawn, win prizes, get your face painted, and more!! Who has the most KSC spirit? Come mingle and get ready for game time! (Food tent available for paid registrants) Student Center Lawn

Hot Glass Art Center

Located in Marlborough NH a short 15 minute ride from campus. Participate in a 1-hour class to create a drinking glass, a paperweight or a pumpkin. Payment need to occur with the Hot Glass Art Center in order to hold your spot. Once you register we will contact you to call in your payment. This event was so popular last year the Hot Glass Art Center has offered us more time slots and added in Sunday times in case a family will be in Keene on Sunday!

Murder Mystery Dinner ($20 parent/family/guest, $15 KSC Student, 12 & under are free)

6:00pm - 8:00pm (Doors open at 5:30pm)

Guests will participate in Of Sound Mind and Dead Body an interactive murder mystery.

When a magical mishap leaves a million dollar inheritance up for grabs, the next trick will be figuring out who the lucky winner is, and who will end up behind bars for malicious magical mayhem! This is an abracadabra disaster, and it’s up to you to find the murderer before they vanish into thin air. Spend the evening glimpsing through the smoke and mirrors to uncover which hocus pocus hitman offed the poor fellow, and stop them before this goes down as the most dangerous magic trick in his-tory. Magician attire is suggested but not required!! Come dressed as a rival magician, an assistant, or a detective.

SAC presents: Comedian Ryan Conner

8:30pm in the Night Owl Cafe (NOC - 2nd floor Student Center)

Originally from Washington, D.C. and based in Los Angeles, Ryan is a regular at many of the top clubs in the country. He has also worked with some of the best comedians of this generation, including Dave Chappelle, Colin Quinn, Mike Birbiglia, and Mitch Hedberg. All this has led On-Tap Magazine, Washington D.C.’s leading entertainment guide, to label him a “stand-up comedy phenom”.

The NOC will be open for popcorn and drinks during this time so viewers can grab some snacks while they watch!

Seating will be first come first served.

Monadnock Pumpkin Festival

1:00pm - 8:00pm

Take a ride over to the Cheshire Fair Grounds and visit the Monadnock Pumpkin Festival

Apple Picking at Alyson’s Orchard

10:00am - 6:00pm

Travel over to Alyson’s Orchard (about 20 minutes away) to pick your own fruit in the orchard and visit the farm-stand to enjoy their seasonal offerings: fresh-baked apple pies, unpasteurized apple cider, a large selection of fruit wines made from Alyson’s apples and peaches, and gifts that capture the essence of New England.
$1.00 off a peck of apples or $2.00 off a 1/2 bushel of apples with a valid KSC Owl Card.

Ice Skating

3:10pm - 5:30pm

Winter is coming, why not start a little early! Take a couple of loops around the skating rink with the family! $5 pay at the door ($4 to rent skates)
