At the KSC Concert Band performance in early November, Glen D’Eon ’93 was presented the 2015 KSC Distinguished Music Alumni Award in recognition of his promotion of musical excellence, his dedicated service, and his commitment to the music profession. As the band director at Fall Mountain Regional High School, adjunct music faculty member, and Campus Safety officer, he serves as a champion for the KSC Music program and is a loyal ambassador for Keene State. An active performer, D’Eon is active in several organizations, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Hot Jazz in January, and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. He also plays as a pit musician for high school musicals.

“Mr. D’Eon advocates for the improvement of music education at the school, district, and regional levels,” said Sandra Howard, associate professor of music. “He collaborates with other band directors in New Hampshire and Vermont to provide quality music opportunities to the students of the Monadnock Region. He is to be commended for his outstanding contributions to the music profession and for his positive role as an ambassador for Keene State College.”
