Keene State College OSHA Education Center Selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to Conduct Training on Research Vessel
KEENE, NH, August 24, 2011: Keene State College today announced that its OSHA Education Center was selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to conduct specialized training aboard the NOAA research vessel, Henry B. Bigelow. The College will provide a program in hazardous waste operations and emergency response tailored to the unique shipboard environment and needs of NOAA scientists, military officers, and mariners.
The Henry B. Bigelow is a fisheries survey ship supporting NOAA’s mission to protect, restore, and manage the use of living marine, coastal, and ocean resources through ecosystem-based management. Its primary objective is to study and monitor Northeast Marine Fisheries throughout New England.
