Pipp Named to All-Academic Cross Country Team

KEENE, N.H. 2/16/11 - Keene State College senior Tim Pipp (Keene, N.H.) has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Cross Country team announced on Wednesday.

To qualify for the team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the fall semester and placed in the top-35 at the NCAA Regional Championships. “It takes the same drive and determination to be a good athlete and a good student,” said Pipp, a graphic design major. “I use the same drive that I have as an athlete to do well in the classroom. I have never been the best runner or the smartest student, but I try my best. At the end of the day, I’m happy where I have come both as a runner and as a student.”

Pipp had a super senior season on the trails for the Owls, placing third at the Little East Alliance championship and earning NCAA Championship berth with his fourth place finish at the New England Regional meet.
