Registration Opens for November Courses at Region I OSHA Education Center

KEENE, N.H., 9/27/06 - Region I (New England) OSHA Training Institute Education Center, Manchester, N.H., is accepting registrations for five November courses. The Institute is authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Keene State College’s Office of Continuing Education.

Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry (510) for private-sector personnel, covers OSHA policies, procedures, standards, and construction safety and health principles. Upon successful course completion, students receive a 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Outreach card. The November 6-9 course runs in Providence, R.I.

Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry (500) qualifies students to become authorized OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction outreach trainers. Bidding contractors and construction workers often must possess a minimum of a 10-hour OSHA Construction Outreach card. The course is scheduled for November 13-16 in Providence, R.I.

Introduction to Accident Investigation (7505) introduces basic accident investigation procedures and describes accident analysis techniques. The November 3 course is held in Manchester, N.H.

Ten-Hour Outreach Course in OSHA’s Construction Safety and Health Standards (NCSH 310) covers construction hazard recognition and control and OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. After successfully completing the course, participants receive a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Outreach card. The November 2-3 class is held in Lawrence, Mass.

Ten-Hour Outreach Course in OSHA’s General Industry Safety and Health Standards (NCSH 320), for people having safety and health responsibility, the course provides employees with general safety and health awareness. After successfully completing the course, participants receive a 10-hour OSHA General Industry Safety and Health course completion card. The November 2-3 course runs in Manchester, N.H.

Per-person tuition for OSHA courses is: 500, $775; 510, $725; NCHS 310, $275; NCSH, $250; and 7505, $195. Group discounts for five or more students to attend one course are available, as is on-site training for groups of at least 10 or more participants.
