The 78th Academy Awards will be celebrated this Sunday, March 5.

Each year, Larry Benaquist, film professor and chair of the film studies department at Keene State, outlines who he thinks will win:

Best actor: Philip Seymour Hoffman for “Capote”

Best supporting actor: Paul Giamatti for “Cinderella Man”

Best actress: Keira Knightley for “Pride and Prejudice”

Best supporting actress: Frances McDormand for “North Country”

Best director: George Clooney for “Good Night and Good Luck”

Best picture: “Brokeback Mountain”

Best cinematography: “Memoirs of a Geisha”

Best screenplay: Stephen Gaghan for “Syriana”

Best screenplay, non-original material: “Brokeback Mountain”

Best editing: “Munich”
