MoCo's presents "The Wild Swans" April 30 and May 1.

MoCo Arts' Teens Musical Theatre Presents The Wild Swans Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m.

In a faraway kingdom, lives a widowed king with his twelve children: eleven princes and one princess, the lovely Eliza. One day, he decides to marry a queen who is actually an evil witch. The new queen is jealous of the children and turns her eleven stepsons into swans, forcing them to fly away. When the Queen tries to bewitch their 15-year-old sister, Eliza, the girl’s goodness is too strong to be bewitched, so the Queen has Eliza banished from the Kingdom.

In this original adaptation by Trish Lindberg, The Wild Swans follows Eliza as she embarks on a magical quest to save her brothers. The beauty of Hans Christian Andersen’s language, coupled by the marvelous music by Will Ogmundson, and the exquisite dancing integrated throughout the production make The Wild Swans a fairy tale journey that will engage and enthrall young and old alike.

This event is part of the RAC Redfern Series calendar and is open to the public.
