Watching the Weather: A Citizen Science Training

Join meteorologists Chris Kimble and John Cannon of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to learn how to become a volunteer weather watcher! Chris and John will introduce the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS), and explain how to take snow measurements. They'll also provide SKYWARN Storm Spotter training, which includes detailed discussions of winter storms, winter weather hazards, and specific ways that storm spotters can provide valuable information to the National Weather Service.

Thursday, December 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Putnam Science Center at Keene State College (Room 101). Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education, NOAA, and Keene State College.
