Creating Trauma Responsive Classrooms

KSC Alumni Center, 232 Main St.
Tuesday, · -

Free professional development opportunity with Dr. CassieYackley. Open to KSC students, faculty, staff, and local educators and families.

Explore ways in which relationships can prime the learning process for traumatized youth. Learn the role of reflective practice in managing reactions to challenging behaviors, better understanding our own brains, and in building relationships with students that foster compassion and wisdom. Learn how to use social neuroscience, through practical, relationship-based strategies, to help traumatized (and all) children learn, and a pathway to self-care and professional growth.
