SSH Seminar Series: Studies on the Occurrence of Lead and Other Metals in Soils on Campus and in the Sediments of the Ashuelot River

Putnam Science Center - Room 101
Wednesday, · -

Presented by Dr. Timothy Allen: Over the years, Dr. Allen has worked with numerous students, through class projects and independent study research projects, to look at the occurrence of lead and other metals in soils on campus and in the sediments of the Ashuelot River. These investigations have documented the levels and distribution of contaminated soils and sediments, looked at the sources of contamination, and even considered possible methods of remediation. Wash your hands before you eat! (And don't eat the mud from the bottom of the river...)
