Theatre and Dance Department Illustrates How Dance Lives in the Body

Evening of Dance - solo performer

Keene State College Theatre and Dance Department, in the context of physical distancing measures taken in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, put a call out to friends, alumni, faculty, staff and students asking for 20 second video responses to, “How does the dance reside in you in this unique moment in human history?”

With those offerings we assembled this work. The Dance Lives in the Body showcases the commonalities among us all while celebrating each wonderful individual perspective. Those who identify as dancers, and those who do not, join together from afar in this inspiring and hopeful tribute to the movement in all of us.

Cynthia McLaughlin, Keene State College Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance, introduces us to this beautiful expression of dance. Enjoy the performances!
