Summer 2021

Getting Vaccinated Against COVID-19 Before Fall Semester

Did you know that more than 80% of people who are on campus this summer are fully vaccinated against COVID-19? We need to keep this trend going for fall!

  • Keene State faculty, staff and students are invited to the Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery on August 4 between 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. to get your COVID-19 vaccine. Just call (603) 358-2230 or email to schedule an appointment. Bring your Owl ID. Wearing a mask is required. Both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available for free!

Students, faculty and staff, once you’re fully vaccinated, please consider sharing your proof of vaccination with the College!

  • Take a photo of your vaccination card (ensure your photo shows both doses, if applicable) and save it on your computer/device, and upload the image to the Health Portal.
  • Once in the portal, click “upload” on the toolbar.
  • Select “COVID 19 Vaccine Records” from the dropdown and attach your file.
  • Once you have successfully uploaded your file, it will say “COVID19 Vaccine Records received on (date).”

Please be assured that your private medical information will be kept confidential.

Summer 2021 COVID-19 Requirements

Faculty, staff and students who are accessing Keene State’s campus this summer will follow adjusted requirements given the larger number of vaccinated community members and low case rates of COVID-19 on campus and in Keene.

Vaccinated faculty, staff and students:

Q. If I am fully vaccinated, do I need to be tested weekly?

No, faculty, staff and students who are fully vaccinated and are 14 days or more after their last dose, no longer need to be tested weekly. In order to be exempt from testing, proof of vaccination is needed (your vaccination card or a legible photo of your card on your device.) If this is applicable to you, bring proof to the Thorne-Sagendoprh Art Gallery between 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on a Wednesday.

Q. I am fully vaccinated, how do I show proof to be vaccinated?

Students, faculty and staff may upload proof of vaccination online via the health portal. If you need assistance with this process, please call 603-358-2230.

Q. Do I still need to wear a compliance wristband?

As of June 9 wristbands were no longer be issued. After you have provided proof of vaccination at the Thorne Gallery during testing hours, you do not need to return to the testing site for any reason.

Q. I am vaccinated and not experiencing any symptoms, but I still want to be tested for COVID-19 on campus – may I still get tested at Keene State?

To be consistent with the updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Health, we are no longer offering the option to get tested for COVID-19 to people who are vaccinated and not experiencing health symptoms. In addition, individuals who are fully vaccinated no longer need to quarantine if they are exposed to someone who is ill. However, if a person who is vaccinated does start to have symptoms, they should make an appointment at the Wellness Center Upper Respiratory Infection clinic for a rapid test, or contact their medical provider.

Unvaccinated faculty, staff and students:

Q. If I am not vaccinated, do I need to be tested weekly?

Yes, individuals who are not fully vaccinated will need to be tested weekly. Testing will be offered at Thorne-Sagendoprh Art Gallery on Wednesdays from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Please note: If your test is not able to be processed by the lab for any reason, you will need to return for a follow up test.

Q. Do we still need to wear wristbands showing that we have tested?

No. As of June 9, wristbands were no longer required.

Q. How do I access the daily health attestation form?

Unvaccinated community members are required to fill out a health attestation form every day prior to joining spaces on campus. The form is found here. While you will not be issued a wrist band, employees and students who do not comply with weekly testing or submission of the daily health screening will be reported to Human Resources or the Dean of Students respectively, for follow up.

Visitors Accessing Campus Buildings

Visitors who will be accessing campus buildings for college business need to fill out the health attestation form and return it to their contact prior to entering buildings.

If you have any questions about this information, please reach out to or 603-358-2230.

Thank you for your continued patience as we continue to plan and respond to greater rates of vaccination in our community, and the ongoing health risks associated with COVID-19!
