Music Department Scholarship Endowment

This endowed scholarship was created in 2002 to provide new scholarship opportunities to attract, enroll, and retain the Music Department's top recruits. The creation of this fund came from an initial gift from The Youth Chorus at KSC, founded and directed by Dr. Gladys Johnsen, Professor of Music at KSC. The purpose of this endowment is to provide recognition and financial assistance to students who demonstrate exceptional abilities and promise in the area of music. Consideration will be given to students who are matriculated and display musical talent and promise. To be eligible, entering freshman must have a high school 2.75 GPA and transfer students must have a college 2.75 GPA. Continuing students must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 and a minimum of 3.0 GPA in music courses and will continue to be active participants in the musical life of Keene State College.
