Faculty Recital: The Art of the Saxophone Craig Sylvern & Guests

To celebrate the 202nd birthday anniversary of the inventor of the saxophone, Adolphe Sax, Craig Sylvern will be presenting “The Art of the Saxophone.” He will be joined by some outstanding performers: Elizabeth Gunlogson, clarinet professor at the University of New Hampshire, Robin Matathias, flute professor at Keene State, Nicholas Pelton, music director at Bellows Falls Union High School, and Vladimir Odinokikh, collaborative pianist. It is shaping up to be an exciting recital that will feature many new works for saxophone. Come to the Redfern Arts Center’s Alumni Recital Hall to celebrate the birthday of the saxophone’s inventor and hear some great music performed by some of the region’s top performers.
