Arrange for your new KSC ID Card
You’ll get a temporary ID card from us when you register. We highly recommend that you trade it in as soon as possible for a picture ID, which at KSC is called the Owl Card. The Owl Card will give you access to library materials, and it comes in handy in a lot of other ways, too. Owl Cards are available from the ID office in the lobby of the Dining Commons, Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. during the academic year, and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. or by appointment during the summer. If your coursework takes place entirely off campus, I’ll help you arrange for library access and/or an Owl Card as needed.
My KSC is your student portal - a single point of access for all student web services. Detailed directions for setting up and using your MyKSC account are available from the Continuing Education Office. Because all official notices and messages from the college are sent to your MyKSC account, you will need to check it frequently.
Blackboard is a web-based classroom software application that is widely used by faculty to engage you in the learning process. Detailed directions for setting up and using your Blackboard account are available from the Continuing Education Office.
If you’ll be parking on campus, you’ll need a parking pass. Detailed directions for getting your parking pass are available from the Continuing Education Office.
One of the best things about Keene State is the number of academic resources that are available for you to use. Whether you need help with writing, math, studying skills, test-taking, or other skills, there’s an office that can give you a hand.

Food on Campus
Food is available at several locations on campus. You can purchase a meal plan or buy individual meals on a single cash basis at the Dining Commons. Meals for take-out are available for cash or by using a meal plan at the Hoot-n-Scoot, located on the northeast corner of the Dining Commons. In the Student Center, you can find food at Lloyd’s Marketplace, Bean and Bagel Express, the Night Owl Café, or the Owl’s Nest convenience store.
The campus bookstore is located on the first floor of the Student Center. The staff can help you find the books your faculty have ordered and make sure you get the version or edition required for your course. Take a copy of your schedule and the staff will help you get everything you need.
You’ll need to purchase a membership in order to use the Recreation Center. Details are available from the Continuing Education Office.
