Alumni

Theatre and Dance Alumni have received Emmys and Oscars, designed the Super Bowl halftime show with Madonna, made Christmas windows for Bonwit Teller in New York, and danced around the world with Pilobolus. They work as producers and actors in Hollywood, wardrobe crew for TV and Broadway, and as technical directors for Regional Theatres, high school drama coaches, teachers and administrators. They have opened their own businesses from dance studios and theatre companies to a children’s theatre touring company, a solar energy company, and a gym, and they support other industries as bank managers, store managers and salespeople.

Our graduates are professional dancers, dance company directors, dance studio owners, public school teachers, high school dance specialists, university professors, health workers, and dance/movement therapists.

A Few Recent Alumni Updates

Jorgensen, Taylor – 2015 – is an actor/model living in Los Angeles and working for Cinetel Films, a film production company. He will be appearing in the lead role of the SyFy Network’s original movie Shadows of the Dead in October of 2016.

Doyle, Ally – 2015 - Double majored in Musical Theatre and Elementary Education. Worked as a nanny (2016), Theatre Director and Counselor at Fernwood Cove Summer Camp (2012-2016), and now working in Disney Cruise Lines as a Youth Activities Counselor!

Adams, Jonathan – 2014 - Major in SPDI and a Minor in Acting. I am currently living in NYC working as a mechanical design drafter. I just moved to the city about a month ago so I haven’t really started looking for acting roles yet, but before moving I was doing some shows at the Theatre III in Ayer, MA while also working on my band’s first full length album.

Ciambra, Taylor – 2014 - I’m writing for the websites Appalachian Trials and Feminist Wednesday, as well as ghostwriting blog posts for Venture Publishing. Two of my poems will be published in the 43rd issue of Otoliths magazine this November. This summer I hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to West Virginia.

Davis, Alexander - 2014 - is a Boston based dancer, choreographer, actor, comedian, and fiber artist. In addition to his freelance work, Alex is a Company Dancer with Urbanity Dance (Best of Boston 2015), as well as a performer with Ryan Landry’s Gold Dust Orphans (Best of Boston 2016).

Ewing, Taylor – 2014 - Bachelor of the Arts, major in Acting and minor in Technical Theatre and Design. I work at a call center as customer service representative currently. I am very active in the Northern MA Theatre Community perusing my love for acting. I have written and directed, performed all over New England, and had the opportunity to preform at the NYC Fringe Festival. I am currently working on my role as the woman in "The Woman in Black" with Ghost Light Players. Other companies I’ve worked with include Worcester Shakespeare Company, Concord Players, Theatre at the Mount, Momentum Theatre Company, Theatre III and many more.

Sterns, Arienne – 2014 with double majors in Acting and Design/Tech. Then completed the masters of makeup program from Makeup Designory in NYC. Currently working as a freelance makeup artist, costumer, seamstress, and a waitress. Costume Designer for Andy’s Summer Playhouse for the last 3 summers, and acted as Costume Shop Manager for the last two. Working with Nightmare New England this fall as well.

Wadleigh, Katherine - 2014 - Living and working in Greater Brooklyn since July 2014. Completed Atlantic Theater Company’s One-year Conservatory Program, July, 2015. Completed Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre’s core improv program as well as their Character 101 course. Served as a script advisor and played a supporting role in Mary V (written by an Atlantic conservatory-mate), at the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City in the East Village (we may get picked up for a full run this Spring). Currently rehearsing for Inspecting Carol (playing Zorah Bloch) with The Heights Players in Brooklyn Heights. I currently perform with my indie improv group, Canadian Boyfriend, around NYC at different bars and fundraisers, and I’m in the middle of developing a sketch group with some fellow UCB peeps. Staying busy, staying creative :)

Simeone, Ashley – 2012 BA Degree in Acting - currently working as Wardrobe Supervisor at The Public Theater. It’ll be two years in March! I’ve had the honor of working with actors such as Claire Danes, Hank Azaria, Daniel Radcliffe, and John Krasinski; directors such as Tommy Kail (Hamilton); playwrights such as Lynn Nottage; costume designers such as Tony Award Winners Clint Ramos and Paul Tazewell. All-in-all I have to say this has been an incredible working experience and I am constantly looking forward to the shows that I get to be a small part of at The Public. I owe SO MUCH to KSC for this — having taught me the value of professionalism, the importance of theatre history, and a vast knowledge of all aspects of theatre. I would not change my degree for the world.

Kohler, Matt – 2012 - Working as the Technical Director for the Cape Cod Theatre Company, home of the Harwich Junior Theater. Helped found (with KSC alumni Brett, Justin, and Greg) and currently run the Cape Cod based theatre group, New Classics Company.

Parker, Greg – 2011 – BA in directing and a BAC in history. I am currently a ninth grade history teacher at Hollis Brookline High School, and I am the director of their Performing Arts Department, where I direct two plays and one musical every year. I also am part of the New Classics Company, with fellow alumni Brett Burkhardt, Justin Gray, and Matt Kohler.

Portrie, Michael – 2011 - is pursuing an MFA in Technical Direction at Purdue University

Lovley-Clancy, Elizabeth – 2011 – I recently graduated with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Art Therapy from William James College. There, I directed the first show to grace the building, The Vagina Monologues, to raise money for a local rape crisis center. Currently, I am working as a therapist for a large agency out of Brockton, MA where I utilize the arts in therapy and specialize in serving the LGBTQ population.

Gray, Justin Jay – ‘2011. Currently working towards my Masters degree in Educational Theatre at the City College of New York and employed as a teaching artist by Theatre Development Fund and Carnegie Hall. Also helped found the Cape Cod based theatre group New Classics Company with fellow KSC alum Matt Kohler Brett Burkhardt and Greg Parker.

Deedy, Janis Costa – 2011 - Lives in NYC and received her Masters in Acting from The Actor’s Studio. Has credits in commercial and TV/ Film work . Currently, she teaches dance to children.

Daniel, Ryan – 2011 - Received a Masters in Education from Rivier University in 2016. Currently teaching middle school in Nashua, NH and volunteering for their Theatre Department.

Burkhardt, Brett – 2011 - Stage Manager/Cast House Manager/Prop Master for the Historic Palace Theatre professional series (2013-2016). Currently the managing director and co-founder for New Classics Company based in Hyannis, MA (2013-Present). Also, serving at a high-end seafood restaurant.

Dixon, Emily M. - 2010 -, major in Technical Theater with a concentration in Lighting Design. Worked as a professional stage manager and designer in Portland, ME for a few years before returning to Keene. Currently, I am the Technical Director and designer at Vermont Academy, the Stage Manager at MoCo Arts, a freelance designer and performer in the area, and I teach technical theater to kids ages 7-17 during the summer.

Mitchell-Love, Jordan – 2010 with an Independent Major in Musical Theatre. Member of SAG-AFTRA. Trained as a Reiki Master while at Keene State (one of the youngest ever trained) and a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM). Currently training at Rossi-Snyder Theatre Labs with Emmy-Award winning Stephen Snyder. Currently pursuing film, television, and commercial acting in Los Angeles while starting up an online wellness coaching business. Current and upcoming projects include the movie Solitary Confinement, starring in the Award-Nominated Web Series It’s Complicated, and hosting the Award-Nominated Travel Web Series The Vagabond Tales! Since graduating I have traveled the world and won a couple of awards at film festivals.

Soldati, Michael – 2009 - UCB training, Idiot Workshop w/ John Gilkey. LA based performance artist, blogger, poet, drag queen, idiot and alternative comedian. Work as a Rigger and theatrical tradesman in high end live events, fashion, film & television.

Griggs, Loren - Attended 2004-08 - currently SAG/AFTRA living in Los Angeles, shooting various pilots and commercials. Graduated from Stella Adler in 2012 and is involved with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.

Sartorial, Shannon – 2007 - Residing in NYC, founded the theater company The Night Owl Players in 2013 with fellow alumni Kate Dickson. I have produced and performed in multiple shows in NYC.

Pettigrew, Jill – 2007, living in NYC since 2008. Works as the Casting Associate in the East Coast office of Fox Broadcasting Co.

Midgett, Joshua – 2007 - Obtained a Masters of Arts in Arts Management and a Certificate in International Arts Management from American University. Currently the General Manager at the Contemporary American Theater Festival as well as a director at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV

Pettigrew, Jill – 2007, living in NYC since 2008. Works as the Casting Associate in the East Coast office of Fox Broadcasting Co.

Clement, Marisa – 2005 - MSW from UConn; School at Steppenwolf Actor Training Program alum; Second City Conservatory alum, founding member of the Sinnerman Ensemble. Elementary School Social Worker, freelance regional voice-over artist, local/ regional theater (community and professional).

Barnhurst, Clara – 2004 - I moved to England in 2004 shortly after graduation where I worked as a technician at a venue until 2005. I moved on to education after that and worked as a cover teacher and drama technician at secondary schools around the Reading area until 2013. In that time, I taught GCSE and A level technical options to children aged 14-18. In 2013, I started working in primary schools with troubled and low ability children. I attended Southern New Hampshire University as an online graduate student of education, where I specialized in reading instruction. I completed the course in September 2016 as one of the two outstanding students in my program. I currently work at a Reading Borough primary school as a teaching assistant.

Gagnon, Sari – 2003 – After graduating I studied at Circle in the Square Conservatory Theatre and the Stella Adler Studio. I have recently earned my M.S. in Interactive Media Production at Quinnipiac University. I am a Producer/Director at award winning production company, CCP.media in Amherst, MA. I am the host of SaGaTalk Radio, and founder of the Women Only Project that provides female filmmakers opportunities to collaborate with one another.

Howell, Will – 2003 - BA in Theatre, Dance & Film - Candidate MFA Interdisciplinary Arts, Goddard College, 10 Years Higher Education Administration in Student Affairs (Harvard Law School, KSC). Currently Marketing Director for Peterborough Players residing in Peterborough with wife and two sons (and a girl on the way).

L’Ecuyer, Timothy – 2003 - MA in Theatre Education from Emerson College. I taught English and theatre at three different NH high schools over the course of ten years before moving back into theatre full time. I am an Equity stage manager, president of the New Hampshire Educational Theatre Guild, and an adjunct faculty member at Plymouth State University and Keene State College. Primarily, I serve as Director of Education at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith, NH, where I have been since 2014.

McCann, Scott – 2003, with my BS in Education and BA in Theatre from KSC- hoot, hoot. "I entered to learn, and went forth to serve" as a HQ teacher/mentor teacher working with 4th graders in New Jersey and New Hampshire for the past 13 years. I incorporate readers’ theatre, movement, and dance in my classroom. I am happily married with three beautiful children, loving life in the lakes region.

McCarthy, Amie – 2003 - I have worked as Mystic Scenic Studios carpenter for 10 years and work freelance sewing custom backdrops and scenic pieces for major Television Networks and the Boston Ballet.

Ricciardi, Kate Graycar – 2003— Double BA in Acting/Directing and in Modern Dance. Spent 10 years acting and producing on stage in Boston (Also briefly in NY) and worked in Voice Overs. I was the voice and face of the New England Aquarium’s Insider Tour years ago! I moved to the Seacoast of NH, got married and have 2 little girls and a hound dog. I got my Masters in Elem. Ed and Special Ed. and now work as a Kindergarten Teacher here in NH where I have started a new curriculum integrating theatre, dance, art, music and mindfulness into the CC for K and first grade. It’s been a while since I’ve been on stage but I still work in voice over.

Simon, Jennifer - 2002 - I currently work in the Special Education Department of a NH middle school. I’ve worked in Stage Management for a number of New England theatre companies including North Shore Music Theatre, Shakespeare & Company and Walnut Hill School. I’ve also been caught teaching and stage managing for the Education Department at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse. I’m currently pursuing a Masters in Library Media, focusing on information and media literacy.

Price, Caroline – 2002 - MFA in Acting from Wayne State University. SAG/AFTRA actress and Head of Acting at Cornell College.

Bagley, Michael - 2001 - MFA in Technical Production from UNC Chapel Hill. Working as a technical director for Design Foundry, a prominent events company. Married with 2 lovely children.

Potter, Dj (Donald Joel) - 2001 - Works as the Technical Production Supervisor at the Gamm Theatre in beautiful Pawtucket, RI. Also one of the founding members of HiveMind Theater Collective.

Walther, Eric – 2000. I am still active in the local regional theatre community. I’m in 2017 cast of Sweeney Todd with Main Street Arts, in Saxton’s River, VT and a board member of the organization. In my day job—-I worked at C&S Wholesale in Keene for 16 years and now the last 6 months as Category Sales Manager for The Yankee Candle Company in South, Deerfield. I live in Swanzey, NH with Pam, my wife of 5 years and our little retriever, Emmy.

Anthony, Mike - 2000 - MFA in Acting from Wayne State University. Equity actor, working occasionally at some theaters in Maine. For my "day job," I manage concessions for the Broadway production of Hamilton.

Bujold, Christopher – 1999 - After graduating from KSC, I moved to New York and co-founded Nosedive Productions, an award-winning theatre company dedicated to new and original works, where I produced and acted in plays for the first two years of the company’s existence. He then moved back to New Hampshire, co-founded, directed, performed, and taught with Stranger Than Fiction, NH’s premiere improv group. He has also performed improv comedy all over New England with various improv groups, and can still be seen popping up in shows randomly (most recently in the show Wheel of Austen, a long-form improvised Jane Austen show). In 2008, he received his Master’s in Teaching English, and currently teaches Literature, Film, Theatre, and directs plays at a southern NH high school.

Dunn, Gabriel – 1999 - BA in Acting/Directing. Married 10 years, with two daughters. Live in Carmel NY. Working as a Voice Actor / Narrator by choice. Network Engineer by necessity.
