Amanda Hickey, MS
Instructor
Health Science

For Amanda Hickey, there are many reasons to love teaching at Keene State College. She says, “At the top of the list is that the small class sizes provide the opportunity to interact, mentor and get to know the students well.”

Amanda says, “While I have only been teaching for one semester, I have already had those “ah ha” moments where students have made a visible connection to how the class material relates to the real world. Those are the moments that are most affirming.” Amanda hopes that her classroom cultivates a compassionate population of students who want to improve themselves and large populations. In addition, she hopes to help students become critical thinkers who can communicate clearly and effectively.
