Professor Allen has expertise applying principles of physics, chemistry and earth system science to geological and environmental issues, including such issues as water resources. He has worked with students to study groundwater in Keene, to map the geology around Lake Sunapee in west-central New Hampshire, and to assess lead contamination of soils and river sediments in Keene. Most recently he has been involved in sustainable business development.
