By exploring various materials such as paper, leather, and board, and different instruments such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, chalk, colored pencils, and styluses, you’ll learn critical artistic techniques including composition, light and shadow, form and proportion, perspective, tone, and texture. And mastering these techniques will provide the solid foundation you’ll need to explore other forms of visual art.
