Ireland:National University of Ireland, Galway

The KSC and National University of Gallway (NUIG) Theater and Dance Departments have a bi-lateral exchange agreement which is also open to qualified KSC students with other majors and areas of interest. Among the subject areas available for study are Accounting, Archeology, Celtic civilization, Chemistry, Classics, Economics, English, Geography, German, History, Information Systems, Irish Studies, Italian, Legal Science, Life Sciences, Management, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Sociology and Political Studies, Spanish, Theater and Performance, and Women’s Studies.

NUIG has a student population of 16,000. The city of Galway is located on the west coast of Ireland and is considered Ireland’s ‘cultural heart’, with and over 10% of the local population bi-lingual speakers of English and Irish.For KSC Theatre and Dance majors/minors and KSC students interested in Theater, KSC exchange students to NUI Galway during the Spring term will have the opportunity to be involved in a production off-campus, being part of the vibrant cultural life of Galway, which hosts the annual Galway Arts Festival.

Semester Dates

Fall: early September through mid-December Spring: early January through late April

Accommodation Type

Off-campus housing. Student are responsible for arranging and paying for this housing directly.

Language of Instruction

English. Gaelic classes available.

Cost

KSC Theater and Dance majors/minors may be eligible to pay the same tuition and fees they would pay to attend KSC.
