Writing in an Endangered World

This course traces environmentalism as a social movement inrelation to the development of environmental writing. Studentswill consider the relationship between literature and socialchange, the development of literary strategies in environmentalwriting, and commentaries on the environmental movement bycultural critics and environmental historians in developingcountries.
