Intro to Exercise Science

An introduction to the field of Exercise Science, and to fundamental exercise training techniques. Topics covered include introduction to the field and careers of Exercise Science, appropriate cardiovascular exercise guidelines, the effect of physical activity on health, introduction to resistance training exercises and guidelines, resistance and plyometric training technique, and overall benefits of exercise. Prerequisites: Exercise Science Major, or permission of instructor. Fall, Spring.
