Comments: The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the principles of public administration and related management techniques as they are applied to the operation of the various subsets of the criminal justice system. This course will emphasize the adaptation of organizational structure, communications, human resource policy, leadership, power and political behavior, and organizational socialization, to the needs of criminal justice organizations. It will also examine how criminal justice administrators manage decision-making processes, budgeting, planning and dealing with organizational conflict.
