Film & Fear: Horror Cinema

This course explores film criticism, social history and thehistory of contemporary film through the horror genre. Throughthe analysis of the horror film genre, including its subgenresand iconic figures, we will practice visual and sound analysis offilm, work on our writing skills, and explore the ways thathorror audiences have ritualized their fears through this genre.
